I thought the solution would be to create a List Item Event Receiver on the document library to respond to the ItemAdding event. Switching back to "Explorer" view, right-clicking a document and selecting properties shows the original creation date but they want the original creation date to show in the "All Documents" view. Once this is done they put the document library in "All Documents" view and it is then that they realize the modified date and createdĭate are both set to the current date. The documents they are putting the document library in "Explorer" view and then dragging the documents into the library. The company I work for is just getting started with SharePoint and they want to put a large number of documents in document libraries. I am not sure if I explained the problem accurately.
